Pinot Noir vines farmed organically with natural winemaking. No fining or filtering. Very slow fermentation and 16 months in 500 Liter barrels created a relentlessly dry, minerally, herbal and fine, with seductive notes of fire, stone and mineral dust. Querschnitt means cross section. Kolfok means unconventional thinker. The result is the most interesting rose you will ever taste! A Kolfolk is a non-conformist in local lingo and that's what their wines are all about. Relentlessly focused on expressing soil and variety, bone-dry, high strung, and endlessly seductive.

Grapes : Carricante 70% - Catarratto 30%.
Medium straw yellow colour with a fragrant bouquet rich of citrus fruit and mineral notes, with hints of Mediterranean herbs. It is vibrant, fresh and sapid on the palate.
Soil : volcanic sand and rocks.
Training system : bush-training with chestnut poles. Up to 30 years old vines.
Vinification : soft pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. Aging : 4 months in stainless steel tanks in contact with the fine lees and 2 months in the bottle.

Saperavi by Askaneli is a classic red wine made from the legendary grape variety of the same name. The wineries of our company provide ideal conditions for the creation of this powerful, noble and energetic wine. Thick skin, unique harmony of rich fruity and spicy aromas, tannins, and acidity of grapes are the main criteria that are used to create the best Saperavi with long aging potential.
Ideal tasting qualities make Saperavi by Askaneli exceptional. This uniqueness of the wine is the result of our special attitude towards the Saperavi variety and the attention paid to the complex technological processes of vinification.

Cobelli, Terodelgo, Alto Adige, Italy

Teroldego is a grape native to the Alto Adige. Dark skinned and earthy but with very soft tannins it is an easy to drink and youthful wine. Cobelli is located in Sorni di Lavis an historic grape growing area since the time of the Romans. What is unique about Sorni di Lavis, in addition to its excellent exposition and altitude, is the unique vein of chalk that runs through the soil here and the "Ora del Garda"-- a Mediterranean influenced wind that moderates the temperature allowing for a perfect ripening of the grapes with balanced sugar and acidity. All hand harvested, with minimal intervention in the cellar. This unique red wine has bright fruit aromas that abound from the glass. The pallet has rich red fruit notes of pomegranate and a hint of vanilla of the finish. Teroldego's soft tannins and bright acidity make this an extremely food friendly wine.

In a region known for whites, the rare reds of Ribeiro really stand out. The opposite of the brawny Garnachas and Tempranillos famous elsewhere in Spain, these unique blends from Ribeiro have a savory, dark red fruit and woodsy spice flavors, but with a lighter body and a thirst-quenching snap. From a cool, Atlantic-influenced area, this feels like a cousin to the Gamays and Cabernet Francs of France’s Loire Valley.

The grapes come from biodynamic vineyards that are located on volcanic soils. The vinification is spontaneous with only indigenous yeasts and the refinement takes place in concrete tanks. It does not undergo either clarification or filtration before being bottled. Il Mille has an intense ruby ​​red color. The nose gives us intense aromas of pink fruit with notes of blackberry and floral and spicy touches. On the palate it is of medium intensity, soft with nice freshness and good persistence. As unique to the terroir, these indigenous Southern Italian varietals speak with exotic and aromatic delight.

100% Pinot Noir grown in the loess and volcanic soils of the famed Kaiserstuhl.

One of the most distinct growing regions of Baden, the Kaiserstuhl is a 2,000 feet high volcanic mountain rising up in the middle of the Rhein Valley. Konigschaffhausen is a cooperative of 370 growers that has been in existence since 1933 and who all agree on low yields and rigorous farming. The grapes are fermented in a combination of new and older oak barrels.

It is a fantastically food friendly pinot noir, showing silky tannins, a gentle fresh raspberry leaf component and soft balanced acidity

A lovely dessert wine crafted from the Scheurebe grape (SHOY-ray-bay), which is a traditional grape used for making sweet wines in this region.
