Toreta, Posip, Korcula, Croatia

From the Island of Korcula (Pr: Kor Chew La). It is an impossibly light, fresh and dry Pošip considering the grape is capable of reaching very high sugar levels. Being able to coax out ripe flavors without the heat and weight is a testament to Frano’s winemaking. As the lobster on the label indicates this wine is ideal to drink with just about anything pulled from the sea. Locals pair it with shrimp and tomato pasta, grilled eggplant with capers and creamy pastas with wild fennel. As with all of Frano’s wines it is defined by the elemental combination of Mediterranean herbs, thick pine forest, sunshine and sea breeze

Le Clos Perdu, Cotes Catalane, Midi, Languedoc, France

90 Grenache/ 10 Carignan and Mouvedre

Roasted herbs, Red currant and cracked black pepper.

"Lost Vineyard" sites, secretly tucked away throughout the garrigue laden hills and valleys of the Midi. Old vines, many at 50, 60, 75+ years of age with names like mourvedre, grenache, carignan and cinsault. Throughout the Languedoc & Roussillon there exist numerous “lost vineyards” just waiting to be re-discovered. With extreme dedication, and working out of a modest garage for use as a cellar, these lost vineyards forged their identities through the wines of Les Clos Perdus. Fast forward to 2015 where the wines are still being artisanally made at the same tiny cellar in the seaside town of Peyriac de Mer.

Dark as Day is a special collaboration with our friends from SouthNorte Brewing Company. Known for their cross border/cross culture specialty beers - we wanted to brew something unique for their beer fans as well as open our portfolio to new styles. We made larges batches of horchata and added them to a golden stout base during the brewing process then added Mexican cold brew with cinnamon from Trident Coffee Roasters. The end result is a beer that bursts with cinnamon and notes of coffees and an extremely smooth mouthfeel!
